Direction Kętrzyn
Gierłoż – "WILCZY SZANIEC" is a true tourist hit for visitors from all over Europe. Between 1941-44, it was the MAIN HEADQUARTERS OF ADOLF HITLER and the SUPREME COMMAND OF THE ARMED FORCES, serving as a command center during the war. Hitler personally gave the headquarters the name "Wolf's Lair," using his party pseudonym "Mr. Wolf" (Wolf). It is located 8 km east of Kętrzyn in the Gierłoż forest. At that time, it was part of East Prussia.
Warmia and Masuria Miniature Park MAZUROLANDIA – this is an amusement park spanning 30,000 square meters. You can have great fun, “visit” monuments, and learn about the culture and history of the Warmia and Masuria region, all in just one day!
Military Park – Here, you can see weapons from that period, military vehicles, and the exhibition "Secrets of World War II," presenting several hundred exhibits and everyday items used by soldiers during World War II. It offers a closer insight into World War II times in Masuria. A unique model of the "Wolf's Lair" – Adolf Hitler's Field Headquarters – covers an area of 40 square meters; includes a V1 missile plane, the barracks where the assassination attempt on Hitler occurred showing the setup 3 seconds before the bomb exploded; a military shooting range where you can shoot replicas of weapons from World War II, such as Mauser 98k, Kalashnikov, Thompson. On the park grounds are the remains of the greenhouse and vegetable garden of Adolf Hitler's Main Headquarters.
